Conservation Consultants Inc
2011
In 2011, Conservation Consultants, Inc. invited Ann Rosenthal and her Environmental Graphic Design students at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh to design informational banners and window graphics. These design pieces were intended to educate the public and bring attention to the new solar thermal panels being installed at Phillips Elementary School and on nearby Pittsburgh Public Schools administrative buildings. Ann's students learned about solar thermal renewable energy and led a workshop with the Phillips students. The elementary school student drawings were incorporated into the banners that were installed on the outside of the school building.
An unveiling event at the elementary school on Earthday honored the Phillips students and celebrated the solar thermal installation. Pittsburgh Superintendent of Schools Dr. Linda Lane (lower left) spoke at the event.
